California Bank & Trust (CB&T) has an Internship Program available for College/University students. The Internship is a paid, full-time position located in San Diego, California and is part of a 9 to 12-week program. The Internship gives students the opportunities to gain valuable and practical work experience in their majors, explore the banking/finance industry, and learn about CB&T's culture and business philosophy. The Marketing Strategy Analyst Intern will have a strong focus on building client profiles that can be used to develop new acquisition and retention marketing strategies. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing first and secondary sources for business and consumer profiles on key banking products and providing a proposal based-on findings that would further CB&T's marketing and sales efforts.
This effort will require working closely with the Marketing Strategy Manager and the Product Implementation team.
Responsibilities
Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to discover industry, company, and customer trends and profile that will influence go-to-market strategies
Proactively analyze customer data to identify potential prospects, opportunities for engagement and product portfolio placements
Data retrieving via primary and secondary source research.
Creating in-depth client reports and polished deliverables including a client and market analysis
Effectively communicating research results to the team and making the appropriate strategic recommendations.

Preferred but not required
Experience with reporting tools like Qlikview or Qliksense.
This position will work 30-40 hours per week, M-F
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a College/University or have had graduated within the current year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 with interests in business and banking/finance.
Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment and partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders
Flexible and adaptable in our fast-paced environment
Business, Marketing or Finance background helpful.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, possess creative thinking and solve problems.
Self-confidence and willingness to make recommendations.
