Job Description

Production Supervisor, UHP Equipment & Purification (2nd Shift) Position Summary: The Production Supervisor will be a working supervisor in charge of all welding and assembly processes and personnel for UHP Equipment and Nanochem Production. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring daytoday execution of the manufacturing plan. They will be responsible for supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work flow, and ensuring that all customer shipments meet requirements for product quality and on time delivery. Position Accountabilities: Maintains staff by participating in the recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training of employees. Assists in the personal development of each employee by providing feedback, determining skills/capabilities and making recommendations for personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, coaching, counseling, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Plans, monitors and ensures execution of daytoday production operations. Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process and monitoring personnel and resources. Participates in continuous improvement activities by: observing and reporting process deficiencies, soliciting process feedback from employees, making suggestions for improvements and actively participating in implementing activities. Collaborates with the Operations Manager and Manufacturing Engineers in developing and executing reporting procedures and systems. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel. Coordinates with the Production Planner to establish priorities. Monitors progress and revises the schedule as needed. Resolves production related problems for staff members as required. Solves problems in real time in order to ensure customer requirements are met. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs when needed. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to maintain compliance with established policies and procedures. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action. Contributes to team effort by participating in required production activities as needed.

Required Skills: Supervision Coaching Managing Processes Process Improvement Production Planning Dealing with Complexity Education: College Degree AA/AS or higher Experience: Prior staff supervision of 1020 direct reports, in a manufacturing environment.
