The Project Manager/Engineer (PME) is a dual role. The right candidate will serve as the project manager and project engineer for working projects. This individual will be the main contact for external and internal customers on multiple orders. The PME will handle customer interactions as well as manage project timelines and work with Applications, Planning, Manufacturing, and assist the Factory in the production of orders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review of customer order and technical specifications.
  • Create pump and compressor bills of material specific to each order using Sundyne's configuration tools, and collaboration with suppliers of special components.
  • Selection of major supporting equipment (motors, heat exchangers, instruments, gages, etc.).
  • Providing direction to design/drafting resources to complete integration of supporting equipment.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Aid in the disposition of non-conforming parts and troubleshoot test and assembly issues.
  • Assist with the creation of quality plans and other related technical documentation and adhere to project schedules.
  • Assist Applications, Manufacturing, and Factory with problems and creating Standard Work to better document processes at Sundyne.

Skills & Abilities

Required

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in representing Sundyne in daily communications with customers.
  • A strong general understanding of engineering sciences and be comfortable engaging in technical communication and decision making.
  • Capable of working both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Dedicated to meet short deadlines and manage multiple customer orders simultaneously with a high degree of ownership for timely and accurate completion.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a high degree of focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong personal organization and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience or understanding of component manufacturing.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and 3D Modeling software
  • Experience with engineering of rotating equipment, preferably compressors or pumps.
  • Design of piping systems and specifying pipe system instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-8 years' experience in a similar position.

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00

Additional Compensation

The Salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy. Application Deadline: 02/19/24
