Starkey Hearing is hiring a Sr Manager NPI Sourcing at our global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. Are you looking to join a team that helps better others lives? You will lead our Technical Sourcing team to provide cross-commodity Sourcing/Supply Management leadership for New Product Introduction teams and/or Technology and Research programs to help create the next generation of hearing aids.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Sourcing/Supply Chain Management leadership for launch of new products and technologies
- Lead team in support of research, technology, and new product programs to ensure timely and effective supplier selection, early supplier engagement to influence design concepts and specifications for purchased components in order to optimize quality, innovation, cost, manufacturability, and supply chain - all consistent with sourcing category strategies
- Manage, coach, and develop the NPI Sourcing team in the successful launch of their assigned product development projects, engagements on technology roadmaps, and deployment of best practices
- Provide business development leadership for key third party engagement opportunities - establishing favorable business deals and contracts to support growth and new business models for Starkey
- Ensure each program employs a tracking sheet (early bill of material) in order to manage a "Plan for Every Part" (PFEP) to establish and deliver key milestones, stage-gate deliverables, and component-by-component goals/targets in a reliable and timely manner
- Ensure regular and consistent program communications with Sourcing and Supply Chain personnel so they are informed and able to effectively support the needs of the program
- Ensure budgeting for, and the timely acquisition of tooling, as well as prototype and pre-production components
- Work with the NPI community to establish technology roadmaps which identify future needs, and drive technology scouting and supplier technology sharing forums to proactively meet those future needs
- Develop strong partnering relationships with the Engineering, Technology, and R&D leadership community, as well as with the commodity teams, manufacturing facilities, and management
- Communicate regularly with the management team and employees, new product development teams and stakeholders across the organization as well as with multiple levels of supplier organizations to foster strong long term relationships and successful execution of project objectives
- Drive make versus buy assessments to ensure timely and effective decisions early in the new product lifecycle, and consistent with manufacturing and sourcing strategies
- Ensure process excellence and continuous improvement through the development of standard work and documented processes for how we select, engage, and manage suppliers through the NPI lifecycle
- Support Starkey Employee Corporate and/or Department Guidelines - Check and verify quality
- Support corporate health and safety objectives

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) or business, supply chain management, or other technically related field
- Masters degree in business, supply chain, or other technically related field desired
Experience
- 8+ years of component design, manufacturing, supply chain and/or operations experience
- 3+ years engaging with new product development preferred
- 5+ years direct engagement with third-party management and technical personnel preferred
- 2+ years program/project management experience preferred
Knowledge/Technical Requirements
- Strong understanding of new product introduction processes
- Strong understanding of supplier engagement/management best practices
- Working understanding of electrical, mechanical, and contract manufacturing industry processes, capabilities, and supplier base
