Job Title: Maintenance Worker
FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Operations Manager
Schedule: FT, TBD

Rate of Pay: $22.05/hour
Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

Scope of position:
The Maintenance worker is responsible for the cleaning the facility on a daily basis and occasional maintenance needs. Any special or unusual concern is to be brought to the immediate attention of the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education (high school diploma/GED) and work experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities required. The individual must have/obtain current certification in first aid and CPR skills, or obtain them within six months of hire. The individual should have crisis intervention and non-violent mediation skills. The individual must show respect for other employees, associates and clients, and the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army.
Software-related skills: Microsoft Word and Excel required, Lotus Notes, Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.

Skills:
- Should have crisis intervention and non-violent mediation skills.
- Prior experience in a janitorial role, working in a larger facility.
- Experience in non-profit setting working with homeless, other economically disadvantaged, and culturally diverse populations preferred.
Scope of Position/Essential Functions:
- Be responsible for daily cleaning of facility
- Work with management on ways to improve safety of facility
- Know and enforce facility rules
- Maintain ongoing professional relationship with all interpersonal contacts
- Attend all staff meetings assigned
- Report and safety concerns to supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
