This position has overall responsibility for planning and organizing the manufacturing output of the Arvada, Colorado site. The Production Planning Manager is responsible for the master production schedule for the operations team and leads planning and scheduling activities at the site, focusing on the objectives of on-time delivery, and upholding our commitment to customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the scheduling team to plan and coordinate production schedules.
  • Utilizes the ERP system and other analysis tools to develop the master production schedule.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops new planning team members.
  • Collects & analyzes data to identify capacity requirements.
  • Suggests solutions to capacity and scheduling challenges.
  • Develops weekly, monthly, and annual production forecasts in partnership with other operations teams.
  • Provides scheduling data analysis to support finance team.
  • Provides reports and presents information to leadership to allow for informed decision making.
  • Maintain and monitors workflows and metrics to ensure schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to develop solutions to improve production performance.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, operations, engineering, quality and purchasing.

  • Thorough understanding of the manufacturing operations and supply chain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a planner or scheduler in a manufacturing setting
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Proficient with ERP systems, such as JDE
  • Understanding of CNC Machining
  • Experience with Load versus Capacity planning
  • Exposure to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
  • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or additional experience in planning and operations preferred.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds.
  • Indoor environment. Sitting, standing, and walking are common.
  • Reading, listening, and talking are common.

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00

Additional Compensation

The Salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
