The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless currently seeks an/a Housing Development Coordinator who will support all areas of the organization's housing development activity. This position provides project and administrative support to the Director of Housing Development and to the Housing Development Department by assisting Housing Development in the preparation and follow-up of grant and funding applications, assisting with resolving and reviewing title and other closing requirements, and assisting with land use and predevelopment activity. This position is located at 2111 Champa St., Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Director of Housing Development.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports the Director of Housing Development and the Housing Developer in all areas of housing development project(s) for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
  • Provides project and administrative support to the Director of Housing Development and to the Housing Development Department as assigned.
  • Assists and supports Housing Development Department in the preparation and follow-up of grant and funding applications.
  • Assists with resolving and reviewing title and other closing requirements.
  • Assists with land use and predevelopment activity.
  • Assists with construction administration and contract preparation.
  • Manages assigned projects and tasks related to development projects, including but not limited to:
    • Coordinating RFP process for selection of financing, construction services, design services, and tax credit partnerships.
    • Coordinating third party reports.
    • Tracking property due diligence for land and building acquisitions.
    • Tracking lender and investor due diligence.
    • Overseeing post-award and construction period reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, in Business, Architecture or Finance preferred.
  • Experience in design, construction and/or financing for the development of multi-unit residential rental projects (preferably in the affordable housing market) may be considered as a substitute for the educational requirement.
