Position Title: Engineer - Plastics Extrusion

Wage: $117,000 - $146,000/year with up to 10% bonus

We are collaborating with our client to secure an exceptional candidate for a key position within their organization. Our client in Lakewood, CO specializes in manufacturing medical devices and related products used for collecting, separating, manufacturing, and processing various blood and cell components.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Global Process Development team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Polymer Chemistry and Plastics Extrusion. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing expertise and training to support product/process development teams in the CO facility, and manufacturing sites globally.

Engineer - Plastic Extrusion Responsibilities:
- Become the center of expertise in polymer chemistry and plastics extrusion, supporting the team worldwide
- Develop and define manufacturing processes and equipment to support new product development and innovations
- Serve collaboratively on cross-functional teams to concurrently develop manufacturing process innovations with new product development
- Provide input to concurrent engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of product and process development
- Collaborate with other SMEs to enable successful manufacturing systems by integrating expertise in polymer chemistry and plastics extrusion
- Guide capital project realization teams to integrate processes into manufacturing systems installed worldwide
- Serve as an SME to train others in the organization and support manufacturing capability within your areas of expertise
- Provide on-site support to manufacturing sites in Costa Rica, India, Vietnam, and Northern Ireland, and travel internationally as required to support projects
- Lead portions of major projects and manage smaller projects independently
- Interact with peers and stakeholders across projects to secure resources and commitments
- Implement and understand FDA or regulatory requirements as necessary
- Apply technology principles to multiple tasks and represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues
- Work cooperatively within a team environment, influencing outcomes and providing technical guidance

Requirements for Engineer - Plastic Extrusion:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree in Engineering preferred
- At least eight years of experience in related field
- At least two years of GMP manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated skills in technical innovation, leadership, polymer engineering and manufacturing
- Strong communication, project management and problem solving skills
- Mechanical and electronic aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Understanding of and adherence to GMP practices and FDA regulations
- Proficiency in relevant computer software applications
