As a Material Planner II, you will be developing your skills to plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You'll track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically three (3) years of relevant experience; higher level degree may substitute for experience.

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

  • Experience with the engineering change process

  • Knowledge of master production planning

  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications


Preferred:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations Management

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)

  • Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC)

  • Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.

  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.


Working Conditions:

  • Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)

  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$68,926.06 - $94,773.33
