Maxar is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to help develop a next-generation product quality system.In this role, you will work with software developers, system engineers, and image scientists to develop customer-specific solutions, internal tools, resolve critical issues, and more using Java, C++, Python, Groovy, and similar languages.Successful candidates will have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn more about Maxar's technologies, all while working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Apply software standards and processes to produce high quality, extensible, and maintainable software packages.

• Debug, refactor and reimplement existing software codebases into new systems and on new platforms.

• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Effectively collaborate across a diverse team of engineers, product owners, and scrum masters

• Quick trouble shooting and problem solving.

• Participate in peer reviews, Agile ceremonies, and software demonstrations.

Required Qualifications:

• US citizenship and a current or active TS/SCI clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology fields. 5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.

• 3+ years of experience in related fields.

• Programming skills in Java.

• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket).

• Must be willing to work on-site.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies (S3, SQS, SNS).

• Programming skills in C++, Python, and Groovy.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with database interfaces (SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
