As a Senior Specialist for Employee Benefits and Insurance Contracts, you will be a member of the federal filing team that supports Empower's various insurance products.Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following functions, with a primary focus on separate account investment product-related work.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and file registration statements and related documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Prepare and file contractual and supporting documents with various Departments of Insurance
  • Collaborate with business partners on product development
  • Be responsible for legal research and analysis of tax, ERISA, and state law requirements related to employee benefit plans
  • Assist attorneys with review and preparation of documents related to employee benefit plans
  • Assist with response process for DOL/IRS and state regulatory agency inquires as needed

What you'll bring:

  • Requires 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of retirement and separate account investment products preferred
  • Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to partner in a cross-functional environment

Base Salary Range

$84,000.00 - $118,575.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
