Milliman Skysail is looking for a Pharmacy RFP Management Consultant who will be responsible for managing the Request for Proposals (RFP) process for Payers seeking Pharmacy Benefit services. For each RFP, this person will anticipate and satisfy the needs of the client as well as set and meet the appropriate timelines.

Milliman Skysail is a consulting and software-as-a-service (SaaS) unit of Milliman that leads the way in pharmacy claims analysis and reporting. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the RFP Process
  • Facilitate meetings and communication with Payers, PBMs, team members, and other Milliman practices
  • Set and meet RFP timelines
  • Advise, propose, and review RFP questions
  • Review and assess RFP technical and financials
  • Guide clients through each RFP round, BAFO, and vendor selection
  • Oversee the contract stage, including recommending updates and working with PBMs and Payers
  • Assist with the transition to the implementation phase
  • Facilitate use of tools, reports, dashboards to centralize RFP timelines and deliverables
  • Appropriately engage other business units and departments
  • Identify growth / new opportunities for team to bring to clients for lead generation
  • Identify problems and effectively communicate solutions
  • Manage legal documents as needed, e.g. agreements, amendments, BAA, etc.
  • Stay current market conditions that affect our clients and practice

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field of study
  • 2+ years proven track record of success in running Payer RFPs
  • 4+ years of related professional experience in PBM industry or PBM consulting
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Deep understanding of PBM underwriting
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) as well as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willing and able to travel nationwide

Salary: The salary range is $85,000 to $173,000, depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.

Location: This role is based out of the Milliman SkySail office, but candidates can work remotely anywhere in the United States.
