The primary function of this role is to support the North American telematics program within Nutrien's agricultural retail business unit, Nutrien Ag Solutions. This role will serve as the primary contact for day-to-day telematics operations, to include device lifecycle management and troubleshooting, as well as long-term assistance with product and program maturity. In addition, this role will also be responsible for analyzing telematics data and producing real-time, actionable reports to drive decision making and improve fleet safety. This person will report to the Supervisor of SH&E (Safety, Health and Environment) Data & Analytics. It is expected that telematics program management and analytics will comprise 75% of this position; the remainder will support other SH&E analytics projects.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the OEM installation, activation, attribute updates, and device replacement in all Nutrien Ag Solutions vehicles.
  • Monitor Nutrien Ag Solutions fleet and Samsara (third party telematics provider) active vehicles to identify units without a telematic device.
    • Develop routine reports to identify vehicles without telematics and distribute to leadership.
  • Serve as the connection between Nutrien Ag Solutions, Samsara Support, Wheels, Velociti, and Nutrien Information and Digital Services to resolve telematic issues, including creating vendor system tickets.
  • Coordinate the branch orders from internal inventory/Samsara and ensure timely delivery.
    • Assist branches with installation services as needed.
  • Monitor the Nutrien Support email account to resolve telematic issues across the US and Canada.
  • Ensure that telematic devices are removed and deactivated from vehicles prior to being sold/discarded.
  • Identify lease/rental situations that require the use of a telematic device and work with branches to complete the order/installation process.
  • Monitor/approve installations outside of the initial scope or consult with appropriate leadership for approval.
  • Serve as the Nutrien Ag Solutions contact with Velociti and support the Velocare service system.
  • Coordinate w/ SHE/ Fleet/ Ops teams for any configuration change requests.
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding for corporate users
  • Help develop Nutrien tools and capabilities to utilize Samsara functions to further drive technology and coaching into the business unit.
  • Collect, interpret, analyze, and communicate telematics and other SH&E data using statistical techniques or models.
  • Utilize central databases, Power BI reporting, Microsoft Modern Workplace (Office 365, Teams) tools and other infrastructure daily.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to Nutrien Ag Solutions stakeholders across North America to identify trends and areas of risk, coaching opportunities, and support ongoing decision making.
  • Produce visualizations and reports that explain results and drive action.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure data requirements are effectively understood, actioned and results are communicated.
  • Oversee ongoing data hygiene efforts, including identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies across multiple processes including automation.
  • Champion SH&E Culture exemplifying Lead, Collaborate, Challenge and Trust pillars.

What you will bring:

  • A BA/BS degree
    • Preferences: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics, or another related field
  • Background knowledge and/or experience in Safety, Health and Environment subject matter is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience (including co-op, summer student or internship).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A passion for safety and desire to understand how data insights can drive culture and SH&E Evolution.
  • Experience working collaboratively with teams as well as driving individual results.
  • Report writing and presenting skills, strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience with data management and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical and reporting software for analyzing large datasets across multiple data sources, and platforms.
  • Experience providing data and measurement interpretation, presented in clear, easy to understand formats.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to assess data for accuracy and consistency.

Compensation & Benefits:

$64,000-88,000. This range is estimated for a SH&E Data Analyst in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive planconsistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
