Zayo is actively searching for a dynamic and detail-oriented Government Compliance Specialist at the entry-to-mid level, dedicated to ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local broadband projects funded by various grant allocations. Additionally, our Government Compliance Specialist will support the maintenance and renewal of state and federal purchasing vehicles. As the program expands, our Government Compliance Specialist will include the management of existing reporting requirements and the development of a new reporting structure. Collaboration with the Zayo Government Stimulus product team and the Government Compliance legal team will be integral to success.

*We're open to this role working remotely within the United States. Please note that if candidate do live within 45 miles of a Zayo office location, we do ask that employees work in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders of the Government Stimulus and Government Compliance teams to understand and identify reporting and compliance requirements

  • Maintain Zayo's access and compliance to government portals such as ASAP, SAM, etc

  • Evaluate projects for prevailing wage and other workforce compliance requirements

  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle

  • Administer Certified Payroll software and implement new vendor registration (example: LCP Tracker)

  • Maintain purchase invoices related to and needed for reimbursement on funded projects

  • Submit progress and financial reporting

  • Draft, review, and update, as needed, regulatory-required documentation

  • Administer the central repository for compliance and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business or a related field

  • Preferred background in State and/or Federal grant obligations, compliance reporting requirements, and purchasing protocols

  • Preferred background in the telecommunications industry

  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.

  • Experience in compliance, legal research, and/or project management;

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and/or Google Suite including but not limited to Excel file management, and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Ability to receive security clearance in the future (federal background check)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Base pay range: $67,500 - $74,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
