Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workday subject matter expert to join the Zayo team in the dynamic and fast-paced communications industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in configuring and optimizing our Workday platform to support our HR processes and enhance overall efficiency while ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. You will also be responsible for implementing the Learning module within Workday. You will join our Engineering and Architecture team as a key leader for one of our enterprise platforms and will collaborate with your colleagues to ensure that our Workday platform is well-managed and integrated into our broader application landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Workday Configuration: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday configurations. Configure and customize Workday modules especially Learning and Talent, ensuring alignment with HR processes and organizational needs. Implement and maintain business processes, custom fields, calculated fields, and security settings within Workday.

  • Integration Management: Design and manage integrations between Workday and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, collaborating with technical teams as needed.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to meet HR reporting needs. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all HR-related reports and analytics.

  • System Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and enhance the functionality of the Workday system. Stay current with Workday updates and releases, assessing their impact on current configurations and recommending adjustments as necessary.

  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to HR users on Workday functionality and best practices. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution related to Workday configurations.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience in managing enterprise technology platforms (e.g. ERP systems) with 8+ years experience with Workday HRIS modules.

  • Broad knowledge of all Workday features and modules.

  • Relevant Workday certifications are a plus.

  • Proficiency in designing solutions using HRIS platforms

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence other decision makers

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in presenting technical concepts to various audiences.

  • Experience with architecture modeling and diagramming tools.

Education & Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field plus five (5) years of related experience HRIS solutions; OR nine (9) years of direct related experience required with High school diploma or GED required.

Salary range:

USD: 136,900 - 150,600

CAD: 125,000 - 137,500, commensurate with experience
