Job Summary:
Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes Adult Clinic has an opening for a full-time (100% FTE) Medical Director of the Adult Diabetes Division (Open Rank: Associate Professor to Professor). The position will be located at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes on the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking a full-time Medical Director at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the Adult Clinic. The appointment is as a clinician and will involve providing care for patients with diabetes, primarily type 1 diabetes, on a full-time basis. This position requires enthusiasm for, and dedication to, diabetes clinical care.
The Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (BDC) is the largest diabetes institute in the world specializing in type 1 diabetes research and care for children and adults. Over 200 employees, including clinicians, clinical researchers, basic biomedical scientists and supporting staff work at the BDC to find the most effective treatment, prevention, and cure for type 1 diabetes. The Adult Division includes 10 providers and cares for over 2,500 adults with diabetes, predominately patients with T1D or insulin requiring T2D.
Supervision Received - This position reports to Director, BDC Division of Adult Diabetes.
Supervision Provided - This position provides clinical supervision for adult division clinicians and staff through establishment, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Associate Professor: The hiring range for this position has been established at $205,000 - 225,000 plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE. The Medical Director position comes with a $15,000 stipend.
Professor: The hiring range for this position has been established at $225,000 - 250,000 plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE. The Medical Director position comes with a $15,000 stipend.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
