General Responsibilities:

  • Operator will be responsible for operating an ETO Sterilizer for sterilization of medical devices.
  • Operator will maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to Standard precautions and safety procedures. Proper PPE will be used, including SCBA and other equipment.
  • Operator must be able to identify and diagnose alarms to ensure proper sterilizer functionality. Operator will follow internal procedures for repair or replacement of parts if needed.
  • Operator will be required to work with pallets, break down pallets, assemble pallets and packages per operating procedures. Operator will work with forklift and other equipment to be able to load the ETO Sterilizer and will also work to unload sterilizer.
  • Operator will maintain appropriate logs and records relating to the sterilization process, including the Ethylene Oxide Aeration records, Sterilizer load records, and biological monitoring records.
  • Operator will be responsible for responding to problems as needed and perform preliminary investigation.
  • Full time, 40 hours per week within the 24/7 hours of operation of this department. Shift could be day or evening or weekend and possible night shift. There is a future possibility of at least one weekend day per month and on call 24hrs a day per month.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good communication skills, good human relation skills, effective organizational skills.
  • Able to read and understand procedures.
  • Good to be able to understand mechanical and drawings.
  • Able to Diagnose and problem solve in a timely manner, must have some mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have Valid Colorado Driver's License and ability to drive a forklift.
  • Operator will be trained on all job functions listed above and will not work alone or operate equipment by themselves during the training period. Assessment of job functions will be evaluated during the training period.

Education:

  • Minimum - High school Diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Two-year Degree or appropriate military experience is preferred.
  • Nice to have - At least 1 year of relevant Medical Device experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to lift, carry, reach, climb, and crawl occasionally .


Pay Transparency:

  • A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $26-30/hr. + discretionary annual bonus.
