FinOps Practitioner and Data Transformation Architect

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about solving problems through technology? As an experienced tech professional, you know that implementing improved digital initiatives with effective cost management is crucial for an organization's future. As a FinOps Practitioner, you know how to create a financial operations model that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop cloud-optimization solutions to solve some of our client's toughest problems.

As a digital transformation architect and leader on our team, you'll use your expertise to transform Azure or AWS cloud operations by implementing an enterprise allocation strategy and FinOps best practices. To understand cloud usage, quantify business value, and optimize cloud usage and cost, you'll work alongside key stakeholders and other consultants to share your expertise on technical ecosystems and implement a transformative FinOps practice.

In this role, you'll directly impact healthcare delivery by partnering with business units and data domains to design and optimize cloud operations and establish the infrastructure required to expand the cloud footprint and promote AI/ML technology. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions, including FinOps or cost management
  • Experience developing and implementing best practices for cost model management and optimization for cloud usage and cost
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures, services, and pricing models
  • Knowledge of Azure and AWS services and architecture
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience improving processes and efficiencies in data and team management
  • Experience supporting the implementation of change management initiatives through training, workshops, and documentation
  • Experience working in a government or healthcare environment
  • Experience developing high-quality briefings for senior Federal Government leadership
  • Experience working with Cloud platform technology stacks and practices
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in CS, IT, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Cloud Computing Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
  • FinOps Certifications such as Certified FinOps Practitioner Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
