Job Description

IMA's internal training team is seeking a Retail Trainer to join one of our IMA offices! This position will work closely with the Retail Training Manager to assess training programs, identify root causes of problems, and solve critical issues relating to Process Training components of IMA and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. A successful applicant must have the ability to effectively build relationships, possess self-direction, have strong problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, be detail-oriented, maintain professionalism, and be technology savvy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and document training programs on system and process workflows established by Operations and conduct training sessions as needed to support Operational initiatives
  • Conduct training sessions as needed to support Operational initiatives either remote, virtually, or in-person
  • Use industry standard instructional design process to assess learning needs, recommend training solutions, develop content (instructor and participant materials), and deliver learning programs to exceed customer expectations for both technical and non-technical training to include: systems, workflows, quality control standards, professional development, manager/leader development, and procedures to new and tenured associates
  • Develop relationships with line-of-business managers to support performance improvement and to further anticipate learning and development needs
  • Use industry standard methods for evaluating business impact and effectiveness of training programs
  • Responsible for training, coaching and mentoring IMA associates across departments, roles, and partners
  • Liaison to IMA Operations and Business Intelligence to aid in interpreting needs of the business
  • Responsible for coordination, preparation, and delivery of role specific training programs and sessions as established by the Process and Retail Training Teams
  • Monitor the training help desk for intake of questions that come from service teams on workflows and processes
  • Assist with project management of operational efficiency projects, including successful development of a project's scoping, initiation, planning, execution, regulation, and closure
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Intelligence and Business Consulting to deliver training solutions
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Three to five years of training/instructional design experience required
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred (specifically Outlook and Excel) required
  • Professional experience focused in retail insurance strongly preferred
  • Intermediate experience with EPIC or similar agency management systems is highly preferred
  • Intermediate experience with virtual training software, Teams, Webinar, WebEx, Zoom, etc., is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Currently has or is in pursuit of an insurance training designation, such as ITP by an accredited Learning & Development or Insurance professional organization preferred

Salary Range
$52,000$78,000 USD
