About This Role

We're looking for a Director, Brand and Content Strategy to develop and drive best-in-class brand, content marketing, and SEO strategies that grow Forrester's awareness, amplify our thought-leading research and unique value, and support client acquisition and engagement. This role will report to the VP, brand and creative, and lead a content team responsible for brand voice, messaging, demand writing, and marketing asset development in support of the company's brand and persona-based marketing campaigns.

Job Description

  • Brand management: Develop and execute a brand campaign and messaging strategy, media plan, and brand performance metrics.
  • Content strategy: Define and oversee the execution of a comprehensive content marketing and SEO strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Partner with research, sales, and marketing teams to amplify priority research topics.
  • Content production: Develop repeatable processes to produce high-quality content for maximum impact across global campaigns. Develop and communicate a clear content plan aligned with Forrester's overall marketing and business goals. Provide editorial oversight, maintain brand guidelines, and ensure they are followed by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team management: Lead and inspire a dynamic content team and external agency resources. Foster innovation and excellence in a collaborative environment with content ideation, production, and SEO optimization.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as demand generation, portfolio marketing, customer marketing, design, PR, and social media, as well as the broader ecosystem, including research and sales enablement to ensure content strategy aligns with and supports company goals and customer needs.
  • Analytics and reporting: Monitor brand and content performance to make data-driven decisions and refine our content, paid media, and SEO strategies accordingly.

Job Requirements

  • A BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent discipline.
  • Ten to 15-plus years' experience in B2B brand, marketing, communications, copy development, or content marketing roles.
  • Superior writing, messaging, editing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire in-house teams and external agencies, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, adapting, and aligning long- and short-form content across various channels and geographies as part of a global content marketing strategy.
